CHALLENGES OF AN INITIATOR

Every thoughtful person now a day talks about the need of transforming the social system, thanks to the people’s urge to break the shackle. But the crux of the matter is “HOW”.

Once a bearded philosopher, social activist emphatically pronounced that humanity has been explaining the world many days, now it is time to change it.

He was dead right, no doubt because if there is any single permanent law operative in this universe it is the law of change. Everything is in motion and even the latest scientific community is not skeptic about it.

Now , if everything is in motion that causes change , irrespective of an individual’s wish, then wherefrom comes the question of an individual’s effort for being the initiator of change ? Perhaps the urge is a resultant of the individual’s wish of bringing the change in a designed way , so that the imminent change can occur smoothly(My mentioned sage had told it earlier in a different manner).To make  change happen in a designed /planned (Of course keeping liaison with the ongoing process of change operative in nature)we need certain designers. They are the subjective force who help in smoothening the imminent change in the objects qualitatively ( The quantitative change is happening each moment irrespective of our wishes ).

But, I feel there is a precondition to be a designer/ helper/planner. For being that one has to have the knowledge of the objects in their motion.

In this regard, I remember a very recent experience of mine. Recently I saw a post by a renowned journo Manas Paul relating about his little son’s out of the blue question about NIBIRU. The kid is a student of class III. I intended to explore the knowledge of our gen about the thought process of the young kids. The opportunity came early. In a very recent workshop with school leaders of upper primary schools (I was a resource person there) were congregated to discuss about transforming the schools to a learning organization that will deliver quality education. All the participants were highly dedicated and agreed to strive for attaining the objective. In a reflective session I posed certain questions to all and sundry.

a)      What is Area 51?

b)      Have you heard about Zombie?

c)       What is Illuminatti?

d)      Do you know about the theory that “Man Never Landed On Moon”?

e)      Do you know about Doraemon and his gadgets ?

f)       What is Instagram/Snapchat/Nibiru/Apocalypse etc. etc

(READERS MUST NOT ACCUSE ME FOR ASKING SUCH QUESTIONS BECAUSE THE SCHOOL LEADERS ARE ALL FROM URBAN AREA .BESIDES THIS IS ONLY AN EXAMPLE INSUPPORT OF THE PREMISE OF THIS ARTICLE)

Many knows about Doraemon but save one none knows about the remaining subjects !

 I started thinking about the bearded philosopher’s words. IF YOU WANT TO BEAN INITIATOR OF THE CHANGE YOU NEED TO KNOW THE OBJECT IN ITS MOTION. If we don’t know the psyche (with how much gibberish those are filled , by whoever’s machination)of today’s generation and live with our own mechanized thought pattern can we become the initiator of change? The answer is negative.Even in case of any scientific experiment you need to know the mechanism of the device in which you want to bring a change.

In an era of so-called postmodernism or what we the followers of the bearded philosopher call as the age of  global imperialism irrespective of anybody’s wish the world has been shrinking each moment. Following the suit of economy the cultural fusion has become the order of the day. The psyche of the children has undergone a sea change in comparison to the psyche of the children of the earlier decade. My question is if an initiator does not know about this socio-economic & cultural changes and its resultant changes in the mental make- up of an individual (student or a grown-up man/woman)how can he dare to talk about transformation/change ? If she/he does not update herself/himself continuously with the changing  phenomena ,can she/he has the right to become a facilitator of change ? Be it in the field of education or in the field of social changes she /he can not .

Yet I finally take resort to my great bearded guru and ready to wait for the objective condition to be matured enough so that it can give birth to such subjective forces required to bring the desired change. Because I know that every situation is ephemeral.
